The town of Peterhead sits on the easternmost point of mainland Scotland, marked by two nearby lighthouses. Will Graham will travel to Peterhead to preach the Gospel in this bustling fishing town October 5-9.
Believers in the town’s local churches have been meeting several times a week to pray for the upcoming Celebration and their fellow Scots.
According to Barna, only 3% of Scotland’s adults are evangelical Christians and they describe their country as a post-Christian or secular nation.
Other Scots polled say Christianity is declining in their country because:
- It’s not relevant in their life
- It isn’t accepting of other faiths
- It doesn’t offer hope for the future
The same respondents said Christianity is judgmental, out of touch with reality, and hypocritical.
Will you join with the believers praying daily in Scotland?
Ask God to light up a beacon that will shine the light of the Gospel across northeast Scotland so that many will indeed find there is hope for the future in Jesus Christ.
