At times in my life, when trials and turmoil … and death and disease … seem to obscure everything and everyone else, God can seem far off. I would feel abandoned by God, except I know He has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”
In John 10:10, Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (NKJV). In Genesis 6:3, the Lord said, “My Spirit will not put up with humans for such a long time, for they are only mortal flesh. In the future, their normal lifespan will be no more than 120 years” (NLT).
The Bible plainly teaches that one of the characteristics of the end of this age is that people will develop a capacity for delusion rather than the truth.
