For over 60 years, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association of Canada has been dedicated to proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ to all we can by every effective means available to us and by equipping others to do the same. Search for Jesus is one way we do this by using the internet to share the Gospel around the world.

In 2011, Search for Jesus was launched as a ministry website where hurting people searching online for answers could not only find the truth of the Gospel but also interact with trained volunteers to ask questions or find discipleship. Since its launch, it has expanded to seven languages, including English, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Arabic, American Sign Language, and Russian. Today, over 1,800 volunteers from 52 countries are helping to share the Gospel.
All around the world, people are struggling, hurting, and in desperate need for peace, purpose, and answers. Online ministry allows us to reach places otherwise closed to the Gospel or to people we might never reach in person. Everyone needs to know that Jesus Christ is the only One who gives us true purpose and fulfills our greatest needs.
When people search questions like: Why am I here? Is there hope? Does God exist? Their questions lead them online to our ministry’s evangelistic website, PeaceWithGod.net. Here, the Gospel is clearly explained step by step using videos and Scripture. Whether a person prays at the end to accept Jesus or has more questions, they can be quickly connected with a trained volunteer who is ready to answer their spiritual questions, point them to Christ and help them grow in their faith.

Faced with a terminal illness, Joshua* visited Search for Jesus, desperate for answers and a desire to “know Jesus better.” He connected with a discipleship coach, Brian, who guided him through the Christianity Explored course. As Joshua discovered the heart of Jesus Christ and the hope He offers, he gave his life to Jesus and finally found true peace.

Fiona* knew about Jesus and was ready to take the next step. “I want to have a relationship with Jesus,” she typed on one of BGEA’s interactive websites. As an online chat coach explained the Good News of Jesus Christ, Fiona learned about a loving God. And because she is blind, her phone read aloud every word of their conversation. “Would you like to invite Jesus into your heart right now?” the chat coach asked. “Yes,” she replied and then prayed to surrender her life to God.
