What do people mean when they say the Bible is inspired? Is that the same thing as saying that the Bible is inspiring, and it lifts our spirits when we read it? I've never read the Bible very much, but I can see why some people find it uplifting.

If we are living in the last days and the world is going to come to an end before long (as I believe), then why should we bother having children or saving money for our retirement? In other words, why bother preparing for the future if there isn't going to be any future?

I've tried every trick in the book to get rid of some of my bad habits, but they've all failed. A friend tells me to try God, but I don't know how, and anyway I'm afraid that won't work, either. What difference would God make?

Recently, I went to a convention with some of my coworkers, and one night everyone except me went out on the town and got drunk. Should I have gone along, although I'm a Christian and don't feel comfortable sitting in a bar (and I don't drink anyway)? I don't want to give the impression I'm stuck up or think I'm better than they are.

Why do you quote the Bible so much? I'm sure there are a lot of good things in it, but the people who wrote it lived in a much different world from the one we live in today, and it seems to me that their ideas won't necessarily work for us today.

We moved last year and are attending a new church, but I'm afraid the pastor has turned us off because he talks about money so much. I know they have a lot of debt on their building and need money, but shouldn't he stop focusing on this so much? Or should we just change churches?

I'm a high school teacher, and it's been a very discouraging year for me. I can't even count the number of my students who've gotten pregnant, or are on drugs, or get drunk every weekend, etc. I can't talk about Christ in the classroom, and yet I know He's the only answer. What should I do? Sometimes I wonder if I should just quit.

How does Satan get us to do things that we shouldn't do? Does he put bad thoughts into our heads, or something like that?

What's the difference between a good Christian and a bad Christian?

What's the difference between a good Christian and a bad Christian? Or is there such a thing as a bad Christian? In other words, if you're a "bad" Christian, does that mean you aren't really a Christian after all?

Have you ever had something happen to you that was so shocking or heartbreaking that you couldn't even seem to pray about it?

Have you ever had something happen to you that was so shocking or heartbreaking that you couldn't even seem to pray about it? That's happened to me lately (after my husband abandoned us). I can't even put my grief into words. Is something wrong with me?

I get very concerned over the direction our country is going. We seem to have wandered a long way from the vision our forefathers had for our nation, and their strong belief in God. How can we get this back? Or is it too late?

I just graduated from college and I don’t have any idea what I want to do with my life. Right now, I’m signed up to go to graduate school, but I can’t say it really interests me. Does God care what I do, like a friend of mine says He does? I don’t want to waste my life.
