The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association of Canada (BGEAC) is well known for the powerful evangelism and outreach ministry of our founder, Billy Graham. His mission is our mission: “Proclaiming the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to all we can by every effective means available to us, and equipping others to do the same.”

As a Relationship Manager, you will identify and cultivate new income sources, engage with diverse audiences to expand our donor base, and help raise the annual budget determined for the BGEAC. You will build and maintain strong relationships with our valued donors to ensure their continued support and engagement. Additionally, you will connect with new donors to foster long-term partnerships and commitment to our cause. As an integral member of the BGEAC Ministry, this individual is expected to perform in a professional manner and deliver high quality outcomes and will help BGEAC carry out its mission and objectives through participation in daily prayer ministry.

The successful candidate will fulfill a full-time role in a home-based office. This position includes benefits of life insurance, medical/dental and short-term/long-term disability, RRSP contributions after one year of employment, and 15 vacation days per year to start.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Cultivates relationships with donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations, while developing new donor relationships
  • Identifies and develops growth opportunities for special events in collaboration with the Donor Relations staff
  • Provides relevant feedback and progress reports on donor development, funds raised, and necessary changes to improve overall donor relations
  • Collaborates closely with the Donor Relations Team to implement strategic plans and achieve related goals
  • Establishes and maintains high visibility and networking with potential and existing donors
  • Assists in identifying key volunteers for fundraising activities and special events
  • Acts as a leader to fundraising volunteers, providing training and development as needed
  • Builds support primarily from individuals, and secondarily from corporations, foundations, educational institutions, and churches
  • Manages the foundation donor portfolio and conducts dedicated research

Qualifications:

  • Qualified applicants must be committed to Christian values and precepts and be in agreement and compliance with the BGEAC Statement of Faith
  • Post secondary education, with a relevant degree/diploma being preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive and relevant fundraising experience
  • Knowledge of Donor Studio donor tracking system an asset
  • Knowledge of Planned Giving and Estate Planning an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Detail-oriented, thorough, and able to multitask
  • Proven ability to manage projects in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
  • Flexible and proactive in meeting tight deadlines
  • Enjoys meeting new people and resourceful in researching, prospecting, and engaging new constituents
  • Self-starter with the ability to set and manage own schedule to achieve targets
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, professional, personable, and effective in a changing environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional listening, negotiating, problem-solving, planning, prioritizing, and organizational skills
  • Able to travel domestically or internationally, if required, in challenging environments with various degrees of cultural diversity

Certificates, Licenses, Registration:

  • A valid passport with no travel restrictions
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Registered vehicle with appropriate insurance for regional travel
