Volunteers are a key part of the Celebration of Hope. Each phase of the Celebration journey needs volunteer help to be a success. And many volunteers will be required during the two days of outreach November 12 - 13. Please join us in making an impact for the Kingdom!

Volunteer FAQ's

How old do I have to be to volunteer with the Celebration of Hope?
You have to be 18 years old for the majority of volunteer positions, however there are some volunteer opportunities for teens that are younger than this. Please contact celebration@bgea.ca if you have an inquiry about this.

How many volunteers do you need for the Celebration of Hope?
The Celebration of Hope is a series of events that take place over an 8-10 month period. The number of volunteers varies for each event ranging from 10 to 75. If you would like to be a pre-event volunteer for the Christian Life & Witness Course, FM419, Community Action Projects or Prayer events, please email celebration@bgea.ca. Volunteer applications for the main event are available online or at your local church.

Can I volunteer with a friend and serve in the same shift? Can we volunteer as a small group?
Yes, as long as we still have room for everyone! Please have each person in your group email celebration@bgea.ca and request that you serve together. Please indicate on your correspondence with us the name of the group leader.

I applied to be a volunteer. When will I know what position and shift I’ve been chosen for?
Individuals who sign up to be a pre-event volunteer will be contacted by our local volunteer coordinator shortly after they apply. At that time, our coordinator will let you know what opportunities are available.

Individuals who fill out an application to be an event volunteer during the Celebration weekend (November 12 - 13, 2016), will be contacted in late September to confirm their position and shift. Shortly after that they will receive a letter that specifies the details with instructions on when and where to meet during the Celebration weekend.

If you have other questions about volunteering, please contact the Celebration of Hope office at celebration@bgea.ca
