I can tell you're very concerned about your future -- and you should be. But listen: No matter how concerned you are, God is even more concerned, because He loves you and cares what happens to you.
That's why you can turn to Him and seek His help. If God didn't care about you, or if He was angry and had given up on you, then you'd have no reason to expect His help. But God is not that way! No matter who we are or what we've done, God cares what happens to us and wants to help us. The Bible says, "The Spirit (of God) helps us in our weakness" (Romans 8:26).
Begin a new life today by confessing your sins to God and asking Jesus Christ to come into your life. Then tell Him that you know you can't overcome this problem on your own, and you need His help. From that moment on, you won't be fighting this battle alone! The Bible's promise is true: "The Lord is with me; he is my helper. I will look in triumph on my enemies" (Psalm 118:7).
What difference will Christ make? First, He'll give you a new reason for living -- a desire to live for God and not just yourself. But God also wants to help you in practical ways -- for example, by giving you the courage to turn your back on "friends" who pull you down, and leading you instead to a church where people will love and help you.
