I've often struggled with depression. Could God make any difference to me?

No matter what problems we face in life, isn't it better to face them with God than without Him? Of course it is -- because God loves us and wants to help us.

After all, God knows all about your past. He knows the problems you've faced over the years, but God not only knows about them, but He also wants to help you do something about them. God doesn't abandon us or expect us to solve all our problems on our own; He loves us and wants us to turn to Him and seek His help. The Bible's promise is true: "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble" (Psalm 46:1).

How can God help you? First, your life will never be the same once you realize that God loves you. He loves you so much that He sent His Son into the world to give His life for you. Others may have betrayed or abused you -- but God never will. By a simple prayer of faith, accept His love into your heart by asking Christ to come into your life today.

Then ask God to surround you with people who will love you and help you grow closer to God. Ask God to lead you to a church where Christ is preached, and where you can find people who know what it means to put the Bible's words into action: "Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins" (1 Peter 4:8).
