Scholars on TV cast doubt on some of the things we've always believed. Are they right?

No, they are not. If the producers of this program were fair, they also interviewed scholars who are convinced the Gospels are accurate. They don't say this because they are believers (for some of them aren't) but because they know there is very strong evidence to support the accuracy and trustworthiness of the Bible.

Have you ever noticed that the very first question in the Bible came from the lips of Satan? His purpose was to make Adam and Eve doubt the Word of God: "Did God really say ...?" (Genesis 3:1). Then he grew bolder, flatly denying that what God had clearly told them was true. God's Word can't be trusted, he was telling them–and in one tragic moment they believed Satan instead of God, and we have been paying the consequences ever since.

Don't let anyone shake your confidence in God's Word, the Bible. God has given it to us, and through its pages we come to know Him and what His will is for our lives. Jesus quoted the Scripture repeatedly, and accepted it as God's Word. So should we.

Let the Bible become part of your life every day. Read it ... meditate on it ... pray over it ... memorize it ... and obey it. The Bible says, "The unfolding of your words gives light" (Psalm 119:130).
